    Job Description

    The Program Monitor (PM) oversees the day-to-day movement of participants, volunteers and visitors to ensure the safety and security of the facility. The PM provides supportive services to participants which include but not limited to, participating in social activities with participants, conducting assessment, facilitating participants Orientation class, data entry, ordering office supplies and ensuring food is available to participants.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Program Monitor must have experience working with the criminal justice, homeless, or substance abusing population within the last two years. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, a clean DMV record and a valid Driver’s License. Minimum of one year experience as a counselor in a program setting with this population preferred but not required.

    DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS: Program Monitor must be well organized, have strong oral and written communication skills, and have cross-cultural sensitivity and competency, integrity, intelligence, enthusiasm, a sense of humor, and an understanding and respect for the criminal justice population.

    REGULAR WORK DAYS AND HOURS: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

    Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour DOE + Benefits

LCA operates several Adult Day Reporting Centers (DRC’s) which offer a broad array of reentry services and integrate evidence-based criminal justice practices into service delivery. LCA has operated a Day Reporting Program in North Sacramento for the last 9 years under contract with Sacramento County Probation and we are seeking qualified applicant for a Program Monitor position. This is a Full-Time non-exempt (hourly) position.
