    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Leadership Gifts Officer (LGO) is a frontline fundraising role focused on cultivating, securing, and stewarding leadership-level annual fund gifts. The LGO will manage a portfolio sufficient in number and capacity to fulfill the Foundation’s fundraising goals. Annual fund dollars enable the Foundation to support educational programs, initiatives, resources and other mission-driven projects.

    To this end, the LGO will contribute to the Foundation’s overarching fundraising efforts, including annual campaigns and capital fundraising initiatives. The successful candidate will work in concert with the Assistant Director of Advancement, the broader Foundation team and has vital relationships with every staff member across the Delt enterprise.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    • Develop a working knowledge of the Delt Foundation in general and funding priorities specifically so as to articulate a compelling case for support to all constituents.
    • Manage a sufficient prospect portfolio leading to growth in the number of completed leadership, major and planned gift solicitations.
    • Provide timely stewardship of assigned prospects and donors as defined by the Foundation’s stewardship plan.
    • Assist in the management of prospect and volunteer activities as necessary.
    • Maintain and update donor records and other information, including biographical profiles and other data critical for donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
    • Participate in organizational events, including conventions, conferences, alumni programs, etc. that can be utilized as cultivation and/or stewardship activities for prospects and donors.
    • Perform other duties as requested, delegated, or assigned.

    EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

    The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, creative, and performance-driven individual with a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related work experience. An ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualities and attributes:

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Minimum of two years of fundraising, sales, or recruiting experience,
      • Preferably in higher education or equivalent experience in a related field.
    • Demonstrated successful track record of meeting quantifiable goals.
    • Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM/advancement data products a plus.
    • Membership in Delta Tau Delta or other Greek-letter organization preferred.

    • Ability to clearly articulate the mission of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and Educational Foundation
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and aptitude to work with people of different ages and temperaments
    • Superior written and oral communication skills
    • High energy level, self-motivated, and self-directed to design and complete complex projects
    • Desire to: multi-task and meet deadlines; be a team player; work collaboratively;
    • General understanding of the principles and techniques relevant to fundraising
    • Participation in evening and weekend activities as necessary
    • Demonstration of integrity, positive attitude, diplomacy, tact, and courtesy
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint

    PHYSICAL EFFORT:

    While performing the responsibilities of the Leadership Gifts Officer, the employee is required to talk and listen. The employee is often required to sit and use hands and fingers to handle or feel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
