    Job Description

    A Leading Building Materials company is seeking a Branch Manager in New Orleans, LA to build and execute strategies to develop market share within the Branch's territory while delivering excellent service.

    The Branch Manager is responsible for ensuring the sales and operations of the branch run effectively and up to company standards. The Branch Manager drives sales and marketing initiatives, provides operational guidance to the Operations team, and trains and develops the entire branch sales team.

     

    • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -
    1. Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the Branches customer base and ensures a strong local presence
    2. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with customers and understanding their needs
    3. Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
    4. Objective setting, training and performance monitoring of Sales Representatives on cold calling, lead generation, customer service and pricing
    5. Partner with Branch Operations to direct operational aspects of the branch including distribution operations, customer service, human resources, administration and sales
    6. Collaborate with Branch Operations team to train and lead inside personnel in areas of warehouse duties, order management, customer service, design sales and office administration
    7. Develop forecasts, financial objectives and business plans with full responsibility for branch financial results
    8. Review analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine branches or progress toward goals and objectives
    9. Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration
    10. Effectively partners and communicates with regional and corporate leadership to support company direction, initiatives, culture, and financial expectations

     

    • QUALIFICATIONS -
    1. Successful history in managing business operations consistently meeting or exceeding targets
    2. Knowledge of the tile/flooring or building materials industry is a plus
    3. Results driven and customer focused
    4. Experience in motivating and developing sales and operations teams
    5. Leadership and human resources management skills
    6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    7. Detail Oriented and Multi-tasked
    8. Proven business acumen
    9. Time management and Organizational skills
    10. Proven training, teamwork, and leadership skills
    11. Demonstrated follow-up and follow-through skills
    12. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    13. BS in Business Administration or related field
