Our flagship program areas focus on supporting and developing CEOs and Executive Teams, strengthening partnerships between board leaders and professionals, and helping to create great workplace culture.

    **WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
    ** Since 2014 Leading Edge has grown from a team of 1 to a national team of 20+, responsible for supporting Jewish organizations to improve their workplace culture and leadership so that they can better achieve their missions. Like other organizations on a similar growth path, we are in the process of building our infrastructure in order to be able to meet an increased demand for our programs and services. The Chief of Staff is a new position that will provide comprehensive strategic and tactical support to the President and CEO (CEO) of Leading Edge, as well as her Executive Team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that the leadership team's time and energy is deployed in the most strategic manner and that the work of the organization as a whole flows more smoothly. This is a dynamic position that requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

    **CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
    ** The Chief of Staff is an experienced and highly efficient professional responsible for the strategic deployment of the CEO. They will own an evolving portfolio which includes internal and external relationship management, board liaising, and partnership with the CEO. The Chief of Staff will become an integral part of Leading Edge and the CEO's success.

    Board Relations and Operations - roughly 33%
    The Chief of Staff will own a broad variety of operations to support Leading Edge's work with the board. They will:

    • __Manage all logistics for Board meetings and committee meetings, including: scheduling, drafting agendas, compiling board packets, providing technical assistance, and recording minutes.
    • Oversee relevant board policy implementation, governance documents and key milestones related to board terms, nominations, elections and more.
    • Capture and analyze feedback from board members on each meeting, integrating that feedback into future meetings.
    • Advance next steps as they arise from the CEO and/or Board Chair.

    Execution of Strategic Initiatives – roughly 33%
    ** ** The Chief of Staff will ensure the timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the CEO. They will:

    • Partner with the CEO to lead new high-level organizational initiatives that cut across work streams, managing multiple stakeholders to implement a high-quality product.
    • Collect feedback, follow up after events, speaking engagements and projects to ensure desired outcomes are achieved and lessons are learned and codified.
    • Play a key role in owning the annual Road Map and ensuring it is achieved with excellence.

    Executive Assistance - roughly 33%
    ** ** The Chief of Staff will provide sophisticated relationship management for the CEO and Executive Team. They will:

    • Prioritize how and where to deploy the CEO and Executive Team. They will serve as the primary point of contact for the CEO's schedule and travel.
    • Provide strategic support to the CEO including convening conversations, curating agendas, preparing materials, delegating, and implementing next steps.
    • Draft memos, emails, reports and other correspondence on behalf of the CEO.
    • Assist the CEO in creating and maintaining excellent internal communication.
    • Manage speaking engagements for the Executive Team to ensure strategic prioritization and organizational alignment.
    • Master internal systems such as Salesforce, ClickUp and Box.

    • Comfortable managing up. You are skilled at managing up to senior leaders and helping them manage their priorities and time. You know how to create buy-in with your colleagues and spur them to action when needed.

    You should have:

    • 8+ years of professional experience in an administrative capacity for executives
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort interacting across lines of difference and with funders, board members and other key stakeholders
    • Strong communication skills; mindful of appropriate correspondence tone and tenor with key stakeholders
    • Strong project management skills, including familiarity with Salesforce, ClickUp, Microsoft Office, Google Suite and other digital tools
    • Strong customer-service orientation
    • Ability to work independently – and collaboratively – and exercise mature professional judgment
    • An interest in advancing the leadership and culture of the Jewish nonprofit sector

    **COMMITMENT, COMPENSATION, & BENEFITS
    **This is a full-time exempt position, with a salary between $100,000 to $115,000, commensurate with experience. Leading Edge provides a best-in-class benefits package. Including 100% coverage for employees and 50% coverage for spouses and dependents for medical, dental, and vision benefits.
