We seek someone who is energized by a fast-paced and vibrant environment, is organized and analytical, and has a superior understanding of the title process. The Closing Agent is responsible, among other tasks, for final review of files before closing/consummation; working with agents and lenders to build settlement statements and balance CDs; preparing closing documents and attending closings; disbursing transactions and processing lender packages; managing file closure hand-offs to other team members; and maintaining/building strong relationships with clients. Lastly, were looking for someone who is as passionate about Philadelphia/South Jersey neighborhoods and community as we are and shares our culture of authenticity.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Reviews title commitments pre-closing (we have an Examiner who will assist on files for this, they will just need to double check that all items are cleared and escalate as needed).
    • Answers general questions related to title insurance.
    • Manages progress of open transactions.
    • Inputs fees and balances CDs with the lenders
    • Prepares closing documents,
    • Attends closings and presents/explains all documents to parties.
    • Disburses the file.
    • Scans mortgage packages and returns applicable originals to lenders.
    • Manages hand-offs for recording and policy production.
    • Assists with post-closing questions or issues.
    • Manages calls and emails from internal and external customers as appropriate.
    • Provides training to new employees, as needed.
    • Properly documents applicable notes to file.
    • Properly scans all documents to file.
    • Performs any other duties as requested to ensure company needs are met.
    • Communicates with transaction parties in a timely fashion.
    • Reviews files to ensure accuracy, completeness and clear to close.
    • Supports Closing Coordinators and other team members.
    • Collaborates with contract closers and notaries for settlements, as applicable.
    • Reviews deed packages for completeness and signing accuracy.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelors Degree strongly preferred, but not required.
    • 3+ years in the Title Insurance/Settlement Industry in NJ and/or PA.
    • PA and/or NJ Title Insurance Producers License preferred, but not required.
    • Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to calmly problem solve in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
    • Licensed Notary (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
    • Desire to be part of a collaborative team in a high production environment.
    • Beneficial if you have experience working in Qualia software and with transactions in the City of Philadelphia and New Jersey.

    BENEFITS

    This position offers a starting salary of $73,000 commensurate with experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes PAID TIME OFF, MEDICAL AND DENTAL INSURANCE, AND 401K MATCHING.
