JOB DESCRIPTION

PART-TIME ABSENCE MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT REQUIREMENTS (10 - 15 HOURS PER WEEK) 

       •  5+ years of hands of experience as PeopleSoft Functional Absence Management Consultant

       •  Experience in mapping client business processes to PeopleSoft software with minimal customization 

• 2+ years public sector and higher-education experience

       •  Ability to manage project scope and client expectations 

• Work on all project phases including….

               o    Conduct / Document Business Process Requirements

               o    Facilitate Fit/Gap sessions to determine configuration and identify potential customizations (with a goal   of minimizing customizations) 

               o    Author functional specification documents 

               o    Facilitate configuration and application security decisions 

               o    Configure the system to meet the USG business requirements 

               o    Develop/document test conditions, scenarios, and scripts 

               o    Conduct system and integration testing 

               o    Provide knowledge transfer to USG team members 

• Absence Management Specific Requirements

               o    Configuration of Absence Management (Schedules, Entitlements, Entities and Groups, Absence Times and Reasons, Entry and Approval) 

               o    Self Service 

               o    FMLA 

               o    Donating Leave 

               o    Retroactive Adjustments 

• Advise on options, risks, and any impacts on business processes or systems

       •  Experience with PeopleSoft 9.2 

• Demonstrate understanding of setup tables, integration points and reporting

       •  Strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and facilitation skills 

• Provide input on best practices

       •  Experience with PS Query and SQL is needed

• Proactive in completing the job assigned with little direction and be adaptable to changing job requirements

       •  Ability to work cross-functionally with variety of people to accomplish goals and support others. 

• Experience with MS Word, Excel and Visio is required.

Required Skills Required Experience

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Strong technical background.

• Ability to communicate using the English language.

• Strong understanding of Automotive Manufacturing JIT Processes.

• Strong understanding of  EDI and data communication standards used in the Automotive Industry.

• To be able to formulate logical statements of system computing problems and devising solutions.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies – Windows Server, IIS, SQL server and reporting services.

• Experience with coding practises such as C# and ZPL would be beneficial.

• DBA experience (SQL server 2012/2016)

• Knowledge of JIT interfaces for various ERP systems.  QAD, BPCS, and XPPS would be beneficial.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects.

• Knowledge of project management & systems development best practice.

• Knowledge of ITIL service management.

• Installation and setup of production based servers (clustering and virtualisation)

• MCSA/MCITP/MCTS or equivalent experience with ability to configure windows servers.
