Learn Sing & Grow is a music & movement studio community for children and their grownups. We provide a variety of Kindermusik classes for ages 0-7 years. Classes are provided at our studio location. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music and early childhood development. Once hired, they must complete training to successfully receive their Kindermusik Educator Accreditation. (Training hours will be compensated at a non-productive training rate to be determined before hire). Currently, the role requires 1-2 hours of weekly prep and 5+ hours of weekly teaching time. (Number of classes TBD, number of classes negotiable). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants and/or needs part-time work in a positive environment, impacting early development for both children and the education of their parents and combining passions for both education and music. Responsibilities: Prepare and practice weekly Kindermusik lessons to ensure an excellent educational experience for our community. Set up for each class, preparing props and instruments, cleaning the classroom area, and ensuring it is a warm and welcoming space prior to parents/children arriving. Warmly greet and connect with students and their parents. Must have a genuine delight in helping children learn and thrive. Efficiently manage time in the classroom, ensuring a timely start and finish time for each class. Clean up after each class, sanitize instruments and ensure the studio is left in good order. Communicate with the owner on a weekly basis in regards to feedback, questions, ideas or just providing regular updates on how class is going. Staying connected to the owner in an organic way so we can ensure FUN & quality (both for teacher and students). Maintain a high level of customer service and hospitality, treating the parents and children with respect and like they are VIPs. Participate in organization meetings from time to time. Other opportunities, tasks, and responsibilities as requested from time to time. Skills: A background in either music or early childhood education / child development is preferred. Experience as a caregiver of babies/toddlers is helpful but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High sense of responsibility and self-management (we want to know we can trust and count on you!) Excellent people skills. Must be able to lift up to 20lbs from time to time (ie boxes when prepping or moving supplies) Must be able to maintain a moderate to high level of physical activity (we crawl, jump, dance, twirl, and stay on our feet for most of the class).
