Here at LearnWell, we've dedicated ourselves to making a life-changing impact on the 10 million students currently in the U.S. who live with some type of behavioral health need (depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, eating disorder, substance use). For over 26 years, we have provided on-site instructional services within the hospital setting, helping students to continue their academic progress during treatment and successfully reenter the classroom.

LearnWell is currently looking for our next creative and passionate teacher to fill a virtual part-time, hourly position remotely serving students from Connecticut. We would love to collaborate with you and help more kids journey towards their full potential.

The certified teacher will work virtually with students in a small-group setting and 1:1 and support them academically with common core subjects while they are receiving treatment.

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

• Plan, prepare and deliver daily lesson plans and instructional material for small groups
• Help students one-on-one if extra assistance is needed on their individual school curriculum
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, hospital and parents regarding student progress and student needs
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
• Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student

This is a 100% remote position that will require an individual to have reliable internet connection within their home/work space. This is a part time, hourly position, Monday- Friday. You will be compensated for both the session and set administrative time each day. Position has great growth opportunities to become full time if desired.

Qualifications:

• B.A/B.S degree from an accredited institution
• Connecticut teaching certificate required
• Special education certificate required
• Comfortable working with children and adolescents
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to students need
