  • Responsibilities

    The Center for Employee Development (CED) is the centralized global Learning & Development function for MAXIMUS. As part of the Corporate Human Capital organization, the CED manages key products and services that are designed to develop and enhance the skills of our employees through learning solutions, tools, and systems.

    The Learning & Development Intern is responsible for supporting projects within the Corporate Learning and Development team. This role requires strong communication skills, solid organizational and project coordination abilities; operational knowledge of HR and L&D is highly preferred. This role will provide support in one or more of the following areas: leadership development, IT/digital development, organizational development, leadership conference planning, and internal training operations.

    Essential Job Duties

    • Support the development and distribution of company-wide values that meet the business needs and organizational quality standards in collaboration with key stakeholders
    • Review, develop and distribute Corporate Learning & Development new and existing programs and materials through collaboration with the L&D team, management, and stakeholders
    • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure that both tactical and strategic goals and outcomes are met
    • Develop and implement Corporate Learning & Development programs and materials to ensure business requirements are met, in alignment with defined corporate goals
    • Ensure Corporate Learning & Development staff are provided with relevant information for program related updates, processes, and procedures
    • Review, evaluate, and recommend modifications to existing and proposed programs
    • Support specific Learning & Development areas as an individual contributor as needed
    • Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect immediate organization(s)
    • Assist with senior leadership conference event planning activities
    • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications
    • Actively seeking a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
    • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
    • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
