    What You'll Do

    As a Learning & Development Specialist, you will play a key role in driving outstanding execution, continual innovation & brand expansion. You'll build and lead teams for new restaurant openings and training, guided by the Manager of Learning & Development. This role interacts with our Leadership Team, District Managers, General Managers, and over 1,500 team members. Being a great communicator and master storyteller is a must!

    Your Responsibilities

    • Leadership: Mentor all positions within the company, providing ongoing coaching and consultation. Assist management teams with program implementation, adapting, and growing, while modeling positive and inspirational leadership.
    • Planning: Develop and execute action plans to support overall company objectives. Collaborate with the Leadership Team to align and successfully implement plans.
    • NRO Support: Identify, develop, and manage a team of trainers (both salaried and hourly) to support new restaurant openings. Assess and maintain trainer qualifications, providing field training support as needed.
    • Administration: Evaluate and refine existing company training material to ensure the effectiveness of programs. This includes NRO, FOH, BOH, MIT, required certifications tracking, and all onboarding processes.
    • Communication: Ensure effective communication throughout the company, delivering timely and comprehensive information. Function as a collaborative leader, engaging and supporting all learning and development programs. Ensure new company programs are implemented with sensitivity to their priority, timing, and operational impact.
    • Financial: Maintain spending within established budgets to meet financial goals.
    • Technology: Assist with content creation, delivery, and management of content and learning management systems.

    What We're Looking For

    • Experience: 5+ years in management roles across multiple industries (including hospitality) with a focus on full-service casual dining. College degree preferred.
    • Training Experience: 2 years providing instruction and hands-on training in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
    • Skills: Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills. Dedicated to completing projects timely. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated attention to detail with strong technical writing, editing, and proofing skills.
    • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and Adobe.
    • Engaging Presenter: Able to multi-task, think critically, and manage time effectively.
    • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.

    Work Environment

    • Location: This role operates in both an office and restaurant environment.
    • Equipment: Use of restaurant equipment like knives, fryers, ovens, and refrigeration, as well as standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, copiers, filing cabinets, scanners, and fax machines.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for long periods, work independently in an open office environment, bend, stoop, reach, twist, lift, pull, push, and move items. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance.
