    THE TEACHER ROLE:

    Reporting to the Center Supervisor, the ideal Teacher will have the opportunity to work with Preschool or Toddler children. They will identify the learning objectives of the children, create and manage a variety of learning environments and activities that will provide opportunities for children to develop to their fullest potential. Learning Jungle Educators work as a team with fellow staff to promote the interests of the children in particular and the center in general.

    WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

    • Fully or partially qualified teachers with a minimum of 12 ECE units or a valid CDA credential or willing to obtain during employment.
    • 1-10 years of experience as an Early Childhood Education Teacher, in a licensed childcare facility.
    • A team-player who can manage a learning environment and can create fun activities/lessons that develop children.
    • An organized individual who has prepared lesson plans, has worked with children and who can manage conflict.
    • Someone who is invested in the personal growth and development of children.
    • An empathetic and motivational individual that can keep up with the children!

     

    CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Complete or willing to complete Criminal Background Check and Health Examination including TB test, CPR and First Aid
    • Valid Vulnerable Sector Check.

     

    THE ROLE OF THE PRESCHOOL OR TODDLER TEACHER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    • Providing weekly, age appropriate, lesson plans for review and plans appropriately required.
    • Planning, developing, and conducting programs keeping in view the individual needs of the children, through observations, documentation, and interpretation
    • Assessing developmental needs of children and works to incorporate individual students' learning, physical and emotional needs.
    • Maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment and follows state licensing standards.
    • Developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
    • Attending meetings and professional development seminars as required
    • Discussing progress and problems of children at staff meetings
    • Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
