Learning and Development Specialist
At Citizens Bank & Trust we believe investing in our people is just as important as investing in our communities. We're looking for a Learning and Development Specialist who is passionate about designing impactful training, enjoys helping others succeed, and wants to play a key role in shaping the future of our growing bank.
What You’ll Do
You’ll lead the charge on employee development across our bank’s six locations—building training programs, creating engaging materials, and facilitating learning that drives performance. You’ll work closely with departments across the bank to tailor training that meets real needs, from new hire onboarding to ongoing compliance and leadership development.
This role blends creativity and structure, people skills and tech tools. You’ll be the go-to person for our Learning Management System (LMS) and will occasionally support internal communications and intranet content as well.
What Makes This Role Unique
· You’ll have the freedom to build and improve programs—not just repeat them.
· You’ll work in a tight-knit, values-driven culture where your efforts directly impact employees and customers.
· You’ll help prepare us for future growth
What You Bring
· A bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered
· 6+ years of banking experience
· 2 years in learning & development or instructional design preferred
· Familiarity with LMS platforms and e-learning tools
· Strong skills in training facilitation, instructional design, and communication
· A self-starter mindset with the flexibility to work across teams and changing needs · A passion for helping others grow, solving problems, and delivering their best work
