    Location: Remote -US (eastern time zone preferred)

    Primary Purpose

    LearningMate is an industry-leading professional products and services company offering domain expertise in teaching and learning solutions.

    Our HE division is seeking an experienced Associate Vice President of Strategic Partnerships to join our team and help expand our footprint in the marketplace. The AVP is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for our higher education market by leveraging industry relations and an in-depth understanding of the higher education challenges and potential.

    The ideal candidate has experience selling to university or college Presidents, Chief Academic Officers, Provosts, and others in the organization’s leadership. As well as an understanding of the procurement process, grants, budgeting, and program design.

    Candidates must have excellent selling skills and an understanding of consultative sales processes, focusing on building long-term business and strategic partnerships with higher education institutions. Must have experience in enabling revenue of $10 Million +.

    Key Functions and Responsibilities

    • Network with industry leaders, advisors, and consultants.

    • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and teams across global locations to drive sales.

    • Define individual account strategy and work closely with executive leadership to deliver.

    • Define prospect list, and pursue leads.

    • Create a pipeline of opportunities, manage funnel, and direct pre-sales/bid teams to craft winning bids.

    • Direct inside sales and marketing campaigns.

    • Build and manage sales teams and processes aligned with the sales strategy.

    • Mentor team members.

    • Achieve targets assigned for prospecting, client conversions and revenue.

    • Manage forecast and sales pipeline reporting on a regular basis.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.

    • 15+ years of experience in Higher Education selling complex solution services to traditional colleges (cloud-based learning services a plus!)

    • Consistently handled sales targets in excess of $10 million and exceeded the targets.

    • Proven leadership and selling skills, understanding of sales processes.

    • Excellent analytical skills and consultative selling ability.

    • Experience managing market expectations, understanding client requirements, managing the bid process with sales support, and enabling a winning bid.

    • Excellent hunting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, influential negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality, results-driven, team-oriented environment.

    • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours with minimal supervision.

    • Proficient in MS Office and Google Applications, as well as standard business, communication, mobile, and presentation tools for virtual teams (i.e., Google Workspace, Chat/Meet & Currents, and Zoom).

    • Association with groups like NAWB or NAWDP is a plus (not required).

    Work Conditions

    • Travel required (up to 50%), may include overnight travel.

    • Coordination with the teams primarily in India would demand early morning calls/meetings. LearningMate has offices in India, the U.S.A., and global clients, with employees worldwide.

    • The work environment is primarily indoors at home and as needed, at a client's office or other settings, with minimal to moderate noise; travel will include outdoor environmental elements.
