Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Tax Credit Leasing Consultant to join our thriving property management company. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for all aspects of the leasing process, from introducing available units to prospective tenants to periodic inspection of actively leased properties. As a successful Leasing Consultant, your goal is to achieve and maintain high occupancy rates and maximize profitability for clients. Responsibilities

Advertise vacant properties

Show properties to prospective tenants and inform them of all available amenities

Hold open houses and resident events

Qualify prospective tenants using background checks and references

Maintain and submit daily and weekly reporting

Adhere to all LIHTC compliance

Accept rental payments and provide receipts

Maintain deep knowledge of the local market and housing trends

Negotiate leasing terms and close deals

Inspect properties on a regular basis and schedule necessary maintenance/repairs

Provide administrative support and other duties as assigned

Follow all Fair Housing guidelines, local laws, and company policies

Qualifications

Proven working experience in property management

High school diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

Deep understanding of LIHTC law and leasing practices

Up-to-date on the local real estate market

Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills

Experience with property management software preferred (One Site)
