    Location : Warren, MI. (Onsite)

    Payrate : $18/hr

    Shift : Day Shift

    Summary :

    The Leasing Specialist is responsible for coordinating all leasing activities and rental assistance functions across various affordable housing programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, personable, and committed to maintaining positive relationships with residents and colleagues alike.

    Key Responsibilities :

    • Review, process, and track new resident applications, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete.

    • Conduct eligibility assessments and initiate verification procedures in accordance with program guidelines.

    • Guide applicants through the leasing process, answering questions and ensuring a smooth experience from application to move-in.

    • Perform background, credit, and reference checks on prospective residents and communicate outcomes professionally.

    • Obtain required signatures and finalize lease paperwork prior to move-in.

    • Maintain organized and compliant resident files consistent with housing program regulations.

    • Foster positive resident relations and contribute to a welcoming, professional community atmosphere.

    • Support the management team with administrative and leasing-related tasks as needed.

    • Represent the organization with professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to service excellence.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    Education : High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience : No prior leasing experience required; training will be provided.

    Skills :

    • Strong communication and customer service abilities.

    • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Basic proficiency in computer and office software systems.

    • Positive interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.

    Work Environmen t:

    This role is primarily office-based, requiring extended periods of sitting and frequent phone communication.

    Employment Eligibility :
