What You'll Do
- Lease apartments by generating and handling traffic, qualifying prospects, preparing lease documentation, and completing move-in paperwork and procedures.
- Interact directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy.
- Interview prospective tenants and record information to ascertain needs and qualifications.
- Accompany prospects to model homes and apartments and discuss size and layout of rooms, available facilities (e.g. resident lounges, game rooms), location of shopping centers, services available, and terms of lease.
- Develop full knowledge of required application information, screening processes, and policies regarding rentals.
- Provide a high level of customer service to residents and team members.
- Handle resident requests and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Ensure model apartments are ready to show, maintain work areas and office, and remain aware of the “curb appeal” of the property.
- Inspect condition of premises periodically and arrange for necessary maintenance.
- Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
- Shop competitor properties and collect weekly market survey data.
- Collect rental deposits.
- Process required administrative forms, reports, and related information.
- Maintain all resident and property files.
- Play an active role in the lease renewal and transfer process.
- Develop and maintain an on-going resident retention program under the direction of the Property Manager.
- Maintain contact with all apartment locator services and local businesses to provide information material.
- Keep up-to-date of new technologies, systems, and procedures related to property management and perform related duties efficiently.
Schedule: Monday & Wednesday 9AM-6PM, Saturday 10AM-5PM
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Prior experience in leasing or a sales-oriented environment, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to utilize social media applications.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form with residents, employees, and vendors.
- Knowledge of sales techniques.
- Knowledge of current real estate market conditions.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to listen actively, understand needs, read between the lines, and ask the right questions.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule with regular and timely attendance.
- High-energy, motivated, and driven.
- Comfortable in an entrepreneurial culture that places a premium on performance.
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity; seeks new approaches and challenges that contribute to success at both an individual and team level.
- Strong sense of integrity and ethics.
Physical Requirements:

Compensation
- $21-$23/an hour
- Actual pay rate within stated pay range is determined based on relevant factors in compliance with state and local wage laws.
