    We’re looking for a hardworking Maintenance Technician to join our team! ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING IN PROPERTY MAINTENANCE but looking for a change? Are you tired of being ON CALL? We are looking for EXPERIENCED Apartment/Property Maintenance Techs Certified and non-certified to join our team.

    We provide short term maintenance services for apartment communities throughout central Ohio. This is a FULL TIME, Monday to Friday position, NO ON CALL rotation is required.

    Responsibilities • Effectively prepare vacant units for re-occupancy • Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repair, as directed. • Aid with resident relation issues • Maintain knowledge of make-ready and part inventory and inform maintenance supervisor of needs. Assist in keeping make-ready supplies and parts well stocked. • Maintain accurate records regarding make-ready status and work-in-progress. • Maintain cleanliness of uniform (if applicable), wear badge (if applicable) and present professional appearance. • Assist in organization and safety of maintenance shop. • Maintain key control as per company/property policy. • Maintain the overall condition of the property, including but not limited to exteriors, common areas, vacant units, floor care and trash removal, as well as for the properties surrounding the building(s), including litter pick-up, janitorial duties, sidewalk cleaning and snow removal in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition. • Clean/restore recently vacated apartment homes. • Help maintain the cleanliness of the facility and grounds. • Change bulbs, locks/keys. • Must be able to install or assist with the installation of appliances. • Exterior/ Interior painting and caulking, light drywall repair • Ability to physically manage painting, pressure washing, blower breezeways, and parking lots. • Plumbing Repairs • Effectively prepare vacant units for re-occupancy, including: o Walkthrough upcoming or newly vacant units to forecast repairs. o Walk completed units to create “punch” lists or quality control checklists. o Assist with the removal of trash or belongings in vacant units. o Perform quality control on all systems, appliances, and aesthetics (e.g., matching knobs, closet rods installed, blinds are the same color/style, etc.) to ensure the apartment meets move-in standards. o Assist in prepping units for painting by performing breakdown and put-back of electric and switch plates and other items as assigned.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma/GED or equivalent

    At least 2 years of apartment maintenance experience

    Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems

    Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques

    Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends

    Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
