  • Responsibilities

    This Leave of Absence Specialist will provide exceptional support for team members, managers and internal partners during the full leave cycle and ADA interactive process while working directly with 3rd party administrators.   The Leave of Absence Specialist is responsible for managing leave and ADA accommodation and interactive process within the guidelines of federal and state laws and company policy.

    • Administer Leave of Absence (LOA) programs and policies ensuring support and processes are followed
    • Research and resolve issues.
    • Engage in the interactive process associated with ADA Accommodations and the Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act (PWFA).
    • Process high volume of leave actions in company payrol, timekeeping and HR systems.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of leave laws, PWFA and ADA regulations.
    • Collaborate with workers compensation vendor to process claims.
    • Develop and generate reports analyzing LOA data and trends
    • SME for the leave programs.
    • Reconcile/analyze payroll files or resolve individual pay inquiries as related to leaves.
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal leave laws, providing support and project execution when new laws develop.

    SKILLS:

    • 3+ years of experience in US disability/leave administration and ADA accommodation
    • Strong understanding of federal and state disability and paid family leave laws (i.e. ADA, FMLA, PFWA, CFRA, HIPPA, etc)
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Workday experience is preferred but not required
    • Experience working in a high-volume environment or large employer
    • Experience administering a DA VDI Plan a plus.
