Job Description

Expeditors’ is seeking a curious and self-motivated business intelligence analyst to execute on our technical roadmap and build scalable, sustainable data solutions. This role will support the Account Management department and Expeditors’ largest Global Accounts by sourcing and shaping data to bring our stakeholders’ visions to reality.  

Key Responsibilities: •    Build solutions to uncover trends and patterns in complex data sets to drive global business decisions. •    Collaborate with CBA Engagement Specialists to build designed solutions designed by customers and Account Managers. •    Write SQL to source data from Expeditors’ data warehouse. •    Use business intelligence tools to:      o    Combine data from multiple sources      o    Transform the structure of data to meet business needs.      o    Build formulas and measures for calculations.      o    Visualize data to tell effective data stories and unlock actionable insights.  •    Process, design, and present data in a consistent and scalable manner. •    Lead team adoption of new tools and technologies. Specifically in data engineering.  •    Drive efficiency in the development of data solutions by establishing processes, adopting a development framework, and enabling re-use of code. •    Engage with peer groups to adopt best practices on how to process data.  

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's Degree (Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Data Science, Technology Management, etc.). •    Experience working with business stakeholders and project management. •    Proficient knowledge business intelligence tools (Inetsoft, Power BI). •    Proficient knowledge of Expeditors data ecosystem (internal only) •    Experience with SQL, Python, R, etc. for data cleansing and analysis. •    Experience with Gitlab and version control. •    Certifications: CBIP, Microsoft Certified Data Analyst, Tableau Certified Professional, etc. •    2-years experience in a relevant role.
