    Role:

    As a machinist, the successful candidate will be a highly skilled professional, with excellent attention to detail, capable of setting priorities through completion, a mechanical aptitude, and an enthusiasm to continually improve construction and efficiency in our design and production workflow. In order to excel in this role, you will also have to possess knowledge of the latest equipment and techniques we use, including: CAD and CAM software, experience using industrial cutting machines such as laser, plasma, or other CNC machine cutting tools of materials such as HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), plywood, and metal.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for interpreting technical drawings, creating toolpaths using CAM software, cutting and routing parts.
    • Predominant task is safely and efficiently operating Ledge Lounger's group of CNC routing machines.
    • General support to Ledge Lounger Production Team in cutting and assembling mass produced products.

    Requirements:

    • 2+ yrs hands-on CNC experience
    • Experience using 3D and CAD/CAM software (Rhino/Revit/Master Cam, Pro/E, and Solidworks) packages is a plus
    • Must have a basic understanding of CNC controllers and G&M codes (Onsrud, Fanuc, or Heidenhain Controls a plus).
    • Possess fundamental machining knowledge, including: types of cutter geometry and proper application, speeds and feeds on variety of materials.
    • Working knowledge of blueprints and 3D assemblies to troubleshoot, make, and build projects
