    Position Summary

    The Technical Architect will be an integral part of Left Field Labs’ project planning process, responsible for gathering client requirements, working with cross-disciplinary teams to arrive at creative approaches, and time and resource estimation. This role requires a balance of technical know-how and creativity, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

     

    Responsibilities

    • Work with current and potential clients to determine project requirements and define system specifications
    • Evaluate and select appropriate technical approaches to create robust, scalable, and secure systems
    • Partner with cross-disciplinary teams to arrive at compelling creative solutions with realistic, well-defined execution plans
    • Plan and design the structure of technology solutions
    • Create clear documentation of solution architectures and product requirement
    • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiative
    • Take a data-driven approach to resourcing and estimation, using past data to help create accurate staffing plans for new projects

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of proven experience as a Technical Architect or Technical Project Management.
    • Hands-on experience with software development and/or system administration
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills. Technical Architects must be able to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, define feature sets, and clearly communicate proposed solutions.
    • Knowledge of modern development and deployment methodologies, as well as cloud hosting providers like AWS and GCP.
    • An ability to motivate, support, and understand their teams. This role will need to work closely with everyone from our creative teams, visual designers, engineers, and content strategists.
    • Expert knowledge of traditional creative, digital deliverables, capabilities, and processes. They should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    EDUCATION

    BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
