    If you are a law school graduate, have passed the bar exam, and have experience in estate planning, you may be an excellent addition to our growing drafting company. We are looking for a highly analytical candidate with good time management and reasoning skills who can work ad hoc as we have estate plan drafts that need to be reviewed and finalized for attorneys in our drafting program. The primary task for this position is reviewing, editing, and finalizing drafts in accordance with our attorneys' firm preferences and the client's wishes. If this sounds like you, please apply! Note: • This position is fully virtual. • Our business hours are generally weekdays between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM MT. Work hours may be split between business hours and after-hours as needed. • The Estate Planning Draft Reviewer will provide a reliable computer at their own expense and a work environment conducive to undivided attention for both draft reviews and the occasional virtual calls with our drafting team as needed. • We will provide the Estate Planning Draft Reviewer with access to our member-attorney's chosen drafting software, a business email address, Microsoft Office, and user licenses to our software platforms that facilitate our workflow and systems. • This position will begin on an as-needed basis and anticipated hours to start are around 5-15 hours per week, although on any given week the workload would fluctuate up or down depending on volume. Pay is negotiable depending on experience and quality of references. • This position will pay a flat fee per draft review; we expect draft reviews to take no more than one hour once you are onboarded. Responsibilities: • Review first drafts of estate plans for accuracy and appropriate legal language in accordance with the data our attorneys and their clients provide, with a one- or two-business-day turnaround time • Edit and refine drafting software interviews as appropriate if significant changes need to be made to the first draft • Offer custom legal language for client wishes that do not neatly fit within drafting software interviews • Catch and correct both small and large errors that a first estate plan draft might contain • Create trust diagrams to match each client's trust selections • Eloquently summarize any substantial changes to any first draft for our team's review and edification to help us refine our overall drafting process and to prevent the same or similar mistakes from reoccurring • Use our operational systems to keep our team informed of your progress and stay up to date on our standard operating procedures as those may be updated over time, and openly communicate any inefficiencies or opportunities you notice in our processes so that we may incrementally improve our service over time • Be flexible, attentive, communicative, and courteous at all times in all interactions with our team, our attorneys, and their staff Qualifications: • Law degree from an accredited U.S. institution • Must have worked in the estate planning field for at least two years • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines with quick turnaround times • Proficiency with MS Office products is expected • Drafting experience in WealthDocx, ElderDocx, Adapt, and/or Interactive Legal is highly preferred • Attorney license is recommended but not required • 4-year degree with a legal background and a J.D. degree are necessary for this position • Must have worked on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 1-2 years • Wide range of knowledge regarding estate planning-related topics • Great communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) Compensation: $40 - $60 hourly
