    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To Provide an efficient, exceptional dining experience with first-class customer service

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:

    • Removes soiled dishes from previous shifts that were leftover
    • Prepares/provides ice water according to established procedure
    • Refills salt, pepper, and sugar shakers when necessary
    • Prepares milk pitchers and cold juices
    • Helps serve meals
    • Fills drink glasses for meal service
    • Cleans off counters, picks up dishes and utensils, and cleans table tops
    • Returns soiled dishes and utensils to kitchen and loads dishwashing machine
    • Picks up paper and trash from floor
    • Checks supply of coffee cups at service window and replenishes when needed
    • Checks windows, ledges, sills, refrigerator, milk cooler, ice machine, coffee urn and tables for cleanliness
    • Follows cleaning schedule by checking each day for job assignment in routine cleaning
    • Maintains a pleasant attitude towards residents, staff, visitors and co-workers
    • Willing to develop self toward better performance and changing work habits as position demands
    • Respects resident's rights and complies with Adult Abuse Policy
    • Complies with laws regulating Protected Health Information
    • Other duties as assigned by Dietary Manager/Head Cook/Administrator

    EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

    • Candidate must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
    • Have a high school diploma, or equivalent, or be in school
    • Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English, at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency
    • Possesses clear verbal and written communication skills
