    We are looking for an experienced legal assistant who can help the busy attorneys and paralegals at our law office assist clients. You’ll be responsible for managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings and travel, and ensuring our legal team is aware of upcoming deadlines. You’ll also assist with preparing legal documents and contracts, and perform any other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently. Responsibilities: • Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly • Complete legal research as needed under the supervision of attorneys and paralegals • Schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, make travel arrangements, and coordinate with outside vendors for events • Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines • Work with attorneys and paralegals to create various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents when requested • Preparing and filing legal documents through PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records) and CM/ECF electronic filing systems. Qualifications: • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or office environment as an administrative assistant or secretary • Some knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs • Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products • Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Applicants must be able to type 50 words per minute or faster Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly
