    SSS Law is seeking a part-time, in-office Legal Administrative Assistant to support our Huntsville estate planning and probate practice. This position focuses on client intake, client communication, scheduling, follow-up, document handling, and day-to-day legal administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and proactive, and is comfortable communicating with clients and outside parties. This is an important client-facing role that helps keep matters moving smoothly by following up, tracking down routine information, and keeping attorneys informed about pending and outstanding items. We are looking for someone who is professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in follow-through, organization, strong client service, and helping keep routine matters moving with good judgment and minimal day-to-day oversight. This is a part-time, in-office position, generally 24–30 hours per week during normal business hours. Responsibilities: • Answer and return phone calls and emails promptly and professionally. • Follow up with prospective clients, current clients, and outside parties promptly and consistently, and keep attorneys informed regarding status and next steps. • Assist with client intake, scheduling, and routine client communication. • Communicate with courts, clerks, realtors, bond agents, and other stakeholders to obtain routine information, confirm requirements, and keep matters moving. • Collect, scan, organize, and route documents and correspondence. • Prepare routine letters, mailings, and template-based documents under the attorney's direction. • Maintain organized physical and electronic files. • Occasional trips to local courthouses and probate offices for document filing and related tasks. • Assist with witnessing estate planning documents, mail, and other office administrative tasks. • Keep attorneys informed regarding pending items, follow-up needs, outstanding matters, and any issues requiring attorney attention. • Help keep the office responsive, professional, and well-organized. Qualifications: • High school diploma required; some college preferred. • Prior experience in client service, administrative support, law office support, or a similar professional office environment preferred. • Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills. • Comfortable handling phone calls, emails, scheduling, and document management. • Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic office technology. • Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented. • Comfortable handling routine follow-up, tracking down information, and working through ordinary administrative issues independently while knowing when to bring matters to the attorneys’ attention. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. • Able to work in person in our downtown Huntsville office during business hours. • Must be authorized to work in the United States. Compensation: $20 - $24 hourly
