Legal Administrative Assistant

A global leader in the hospitality and franchising industry is seeking a Franchise Specialist to support its legal department. This position focuses on document preparation, records management, and administrative support for franchise-related legal processes. This is a temporary contract role that is anticipated to go through October; and the pay rate ranges from $20-22 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Position Overview
The Franchise Specialist plays a key role in creating and managing legal documentation related to secondary name approvals and maintaining records in accordance with internal compliance policies. The role requires excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a high level of confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and process secondary name letters (~1,800 annually), including preparing merge files and distributing via email to field representatives.
- Upload legal documents into the internal document management system.
- Ensure compliance with document retention policies.
- Collaborate closely with the legal team and field development staff.
- Provide administrative support to various legal department processes as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience handling confidential documents and sensitive information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and the ability to learn internal databases quickly.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
