Job Title: L egal Analyst

Location: Waco, TX 76701

Duration: 6 Months

Position Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Crime Intelligence Analyst to join our team. This grant-funded civilian position involves supporting law enforcement through data analysis and intelligence gathering. If you have a background in public administration, law enforcement, or a related field, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct data analysis and manage sensitive projects.
• Support the Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) information sharing platform and website.
• Prepare reports, assessments, and bulletins.
• Handle administrative duties related to TAG, including purchasing and grant applications.
• Maintain professional relationships with law enforcement and TAG participants.
• Collect, analyze, and disseminate data from various law enforcement sources.
• Develop analytical tools like link analysis and crime incident maps.
• Prepare detailed reports and facilitate information transfer between agencies.
• Maintain intelligence databases and testify in court if needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Valid State-issued Driver’s License.
• Minimum of three years in public administration, law enforcement, or related field.
• Disqualifications include felony convictions, certain misdemeanor convictions, open arrests, and family violence convictions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience with criminal street gangs.
