Our elder law firm is expanding and is looking for an efficient, organized legal assistant to take client relations to the next level. You will answer all incoming calls, greet clients, coordinate the firm's calendar and deadlines, maintain practice management software and reporting, reach out to prospective clients, and handle all office correspondence. Responsibilities: • Ensure client billing is processed properly using daily time records with assistance from the accounting department • Accept other administrative tasks as needed to assist the team and ensure the firm runs smoothly • Greet clients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner, field all incoming calls, and place outgoing calls to prospective new clients • Schedule appointments and maintain the firm's calendars and deadlines • Enter and maintain accurate data and documentation in practice management software, and create reports using the firm's software • Prepare and maintain client files • Prepare forms and correspondence • Order office supplies • Running errands from time to time, including trips to the post office, courthouse, etc. Qualifications: • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times • Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products • Candidates should have strong organizational skills and communication skills • 2 years experience in an office environment as an administrative assistant or comparable experience in a law firm • High comfort level with busy phones and making outgoing calls to prospective clients Compensation: $16 - $19 hourly
