We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You'll support our attorneys in commercial litigation, business transactions, and bankruptcy matters by proactively drafting legal pleadings and financial documents, managing case logistics with minimal supervision, and contributing to a team-oriented environment that values ownership, initiative, and collaborative problem-solving. Responsibilities: • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues • Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits • Assist lawyers in organizing and preparing the required schedules and correspondence required in bankruptcy cases under Chapters 7, 11, 12, and 13. • Take full ownership of assigned cases, proactively flagging potential issues or missing elements before deadlines. • Collaborate closely with attorneys and other staff to ensure case strategies are executed efficiently. • Maintain clear, timely communication with team members. • Manage filings, calendars, and case documentation while anticipating attorney needs and next steps. Key Performance Metrics Measured For Salary & Bonus Qualification: Drafting accuracy, Deadline Management, Task Autonomy & Initiative, and Collaboration & Communication. Qualifications: • At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar • Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference • Thrives in a self-directed environment—someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, identifies what needs to be done based on procedures, and takes initiative without needing extensive oversight Compensation: $40,000 - $60,000 yearly
