    Higgins, Hopkins, McLain & Roswell, LLC has been recognized by the Denver Business Journal as a Best Places to Work and is seeking a Legal Assistant to join its litigation team in Denver. HHMR is a boutique litigation firm focused on construction law and the defense of complex construction defect matters. We represent builders, developers, and contractors throughout Colorado. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Legal Assistant who takes pride in their work and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role is critical to keeping cases moving efficiently and supporting attorneys in the day-to-day management of complex litigation. Experience in a civil litigation firm is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong organizational skills, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities: • Prepare and file documents through CCEF and other court and arbitration platforms • Maintain and manage case calendars, including court deadlines and scheduling • Communicate professionally with clients, insurance adjusters, experts, and opposing counsel • Draft, review, and format correspondence and pleadings • Support attorneys in managing case files and advancing matters efficiently • Ensure accuracy, organization, and timeliness across all assigned tasks Qualifications: • Prior experience in a law firm environment (1–2 years preferred), ideally in civil litigation • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems • Familiarity with legal software, case management, and docketing systems is a plus • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute • An associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or some college is preferred, but not required.
