As a Legal Assistant at Council & Associates, you will play a critical role in keeping cases moving efficiently, supporting attorneys and paralegals, and ensuring clients feel informed and supported throughout their legal journey. This role requires someone who understands that outstanding client experience is just as important as strong case management. Responsibilities: • Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals on personal injury matters • Assist with case file organization, document management, and deadline tracking • Draft and prepare routine correspondence, forms, and legal documents • Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and vendors • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, filings, and records • Maintain accurate case notes and ensure compliance with firm procedures • Support scheduling, calendaring, and case preparation tasks • Assist with intake follow-ups and client communications as needed Qualifications: • Prior experience in a law firm or legal support role preferred (personal injury experience a plus) • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently • Professional demeanor with clients and internal team members • Proficiency with legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace • Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented work ethic Compensation: $20 - $24 hourly
