  • Responsibilities

    The Legal Assistant at DYADlaw P.C. plays a critical role in supporting the legal team by handling a wide range of tasks related to U.S. immigration cases. This position requires a meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple case files efficiently while providing excellent service and support to clients and attorneys. Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to: • Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of various immigration forms and documents. • Manage case files from initiation to completion, ensuring all deadlines are met. • Prepare legal correspondence, including letters to clients and government agencies. • Collect, organize, and review client information and documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Process FOIA requests and manage responses, working with the legal team to address issues or updates to procedures and requirements. • Assist in the collection and organization of evidence for case filings. • Maintain an up-to-date and organized filing system for all legal documents. • Communicate regularly with clients to gather information, convey case updates, and handle other inquiries as needed. • Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion. • Prepare and process Responses to Evidence (RFEs) as requested by immigration authorities. • Coordinate with clients to gather necessary documentation and information in response to RFEs. • Assemble case files and prepare them for review by the legal team. • Conduct quality assurance checks on all case materials to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission. • Review case files regularly to identify and rectify any discrepancies or missing documents. • Provide guidance for delegated tasks to other support staff. • File immigration court pleadings and supporting documentation in the EOIR portal. Qualifications: • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred; however, candidates with significant relevant experience will also be considered. • At least 2-5 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in an immigration law firm. • Familiarity with immigration procedures and legal terminology. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. Compensation: $55,000 - $61,500

    $55,000-$61,500 per year
