    Our Colorado-based personal Injury law firm is looking for an organized and ambitious legal assistant to help our attorneys and paralegals. You'll be assisting our special trial team on big cases by supporting the trial paralegal and two attorneys. This is a fully remote position based in the Philippines, and we are not accepting US-based applications for this position. Responsibilities: • Complete legal research as needed under the supervision of attorneys and paralegals • Accept other administrative tasks as needed to assist the team and ensure the firm runs smoothly • Schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, make travel arrangements, and coordinate with outside vendors for events • Assist with the creation of various litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents as needed • Collect evidence in the form of medical records and incident reports • Ordering, organizing, processing, reviewing, and redacting medical records • Creating medical chronologies and identifying missing treatment dates, missing bills, or treatment and complaints that were never completed or never addressed by medical providers Qualifications: • Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel • Able to work some hours that overlap with 8am to 5pm MST in the United States, but not required to match that shift. This would be required to make scheduling phone calls, and generally can be somewhat flexible • Nursing or medical experience is highly preferred but not required. Because so much of the job involves analyzing, reading, processing, and redacting medical records, knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of medical science are extremely helpful to the role • US Personal injury law experience - specifically ordering and handling of medical records • Reliable high-speed internet access because we are a paperless firm that does nearly all work online • Familiarity with FileVine or other legal case management software is preferred Compensation: $4.75 - $5.75 per hour
