    Experienced Employment Law Legal Assistant

    Plaintiff-Side Litigation | Seattle, Washington (Hybrid)

    Mission Recruiting is partnering with a growing plaintiff-side employment law practice that is expanding its presence in Washington State. This role is built for a seasoned legal assistant who enjoys complex litigation support, thrives on deadlines and procedures, and wants their work to directly advance employee justice.

    The position is currently remote, with a planned transition to a hybrid or in-office schedule in Seattle. Candidates should be located in Washington or preparing to relocate.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Calendaring deadlines for state, federal, appellate, and arbitration matters
    • Coordinating court appearances and securing hearing dates for motions, IDCs, and exparte matters
    • Reviewing and responding to tentative rulings
    • Managing email follow-ups and updating case management systems
    • Communicating with opposing counsel and clients regarding case status, mediations, and depositions
    • Drafting, proofreading, and finalizing joint statements, discovery responses, and mediation briefs
    • Preparing tables of contents and tables of authorities for complex motions
    • Preparing and filing notices, stipulations, arbitration demands, and agency-related declarations
    • Submitting materials related to PAGA matters and related agencies
    • Logging mediation fees, expenses, and preparing case cost details
    • Researching federal, state, and local procedural rules
    • Physically filing documents with the court when required
    • Coordinating in-person depositions with administrative staff
    • Tracking upcoming deadlines and issuing reminders
    • Maintaining records of hearing summaries and meet-and-confer efforts
    • Preparing time and task charts
    • Assisting with appellate matters, including appendices and high-level filings
    • Supporting class, PAGA, and individual payment processes
    • Providing additional litigation support as needed

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Hourly pay range of $25.00 to $28.00, depending on experience
