A busy San Francisco law office is seeking a skilled Temporary Legal Assistant to provide support to a team of 3–4 attorneys in the Employment Litigation practice. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can juggle multiple priorities, and is comfortable jumping into a busy desk with minimal hand-holding.
Responsibilities
Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
Assist with filing and e-filing in state and federal courts
Draft and maintain tables of authorities and tables of contents (TOA/TOC)
Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines
Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure timely submission of documents and filings
Handle general administrative and litigation support tasks as needed
Qualifications
10+ years of litigation support experience, preferably in employment law
Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, and e-filing systems
Proven experience preparing TOA/TOC and pleadings
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle a fast-moving workload and meet tight deadlines
