As a legal assistant, you will: • Assist with producing discovery and cataloging discovery responses • Promptly contact assigned clients with developments on their cases • Draft correspondence to clients as needed • Submit pleadings and other court documents in Maryland and the District of Columbia • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to prepare for mediations, depositions, or trials • Operate within a team environment, actively collaborating with colleagues Qualifications: A Legal Assistant must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; be friendly, empathetic, and organized; and be proficient with Microsoft Office 360 and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Additionally, you must possess the following skills: • Ability to manage time effectively and ensure deadlines and KPIs are met or exceeded • Strong organizational and communication skills--both oral and written • People Skills/Customer Service—A Legal Assistant should have excellent people skills with the confidence to approach clients with empathy • Proficiency in multitasking and adherence to processes • Ability to work in a team with other Legal Assistants, Paralegals, and Attorneys • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 yearly DOE
