We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant or Legal Officer to join our dynamic team at Grand Pacific Financing Corporation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal procedures and documentation, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to exercise independent judgment and analysis to provide support for the company. Responsibilities: • Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and loan documents. • Work closely with the Loan Closing Department on a daily basis to ensure the efficient and effective closing of Commercial Loans. • Conduct legal research and provide summaries of findings to the legal team. • Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible. • Coordinate with external legal counsel for complex legal issues or commercial loans, and other departments within the company. • Analyze and provide guidance for various legal-related tasks such as litigation analysis, bankruptcy-related analysis, and foreclosure process monitoring. • Maintain and update legal databases and records. • Assist in the preparation for meetings, hearings, and trials when applicable. • Handle administrative tasks such as legal billing/payments, scheduling, correspondence, and filing. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field. A background in real estate, banking, or finance is a strong plus (or vice versa). • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within the legal, financial, or real estate industries is strongly preferred. • Solid understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation. • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. • High level of professionalism and discretion with confidential information. • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred. Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 yearly
