    LEGAL ASSISTANT-BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI

    Well-respected, boutique law firm is seeking an extremely organized and detail oriented Legal Assistant with strong administrative experience and exceptional client service focus.

    This full-time position will encompass these primary responsibilities:

    • Schedule meetings, secure conference rooms, and order meals when needed.
    • Support in creating closing documents for clients.
    • Coordinating busy calendars with great ability to prioritize.
    • File and E-file documents with State of Michigan agencies, the court and county Register of Deeds and oversee docketing.
    • Establish project timelines and prepare in advance to meet those timelines.

    The following are essential for success in this role:

    • Client service focus with a minimum of two years of experience as a Legal Assistant.
    • Superior skills using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), knowledge of Adobe.
    • Solid knowledge of regulations and procedures of Michigan and Federal courts and the associated e-filing and docketing
    • Strong problem solving and prioritizing expertise.
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with attorneys, staff members, and clients.
    • Ability to handle stressful circumstances professionally and politely.
    • Outstanding proofreading, grammar and transcription capabilities.
    • Prior experience preparing attorneys for trials, arbitrations, and mediations is desirable
    • Knowledge of case management programs and document management systems is a plus
    • Paralegal degree or certification is advantageous but not required
    • Bachelor’s degree desirable but not mandatory

    Hours are 9am-5pm with a one hour lunch. 35 hour work week plus overtime when needed.
