  • Responsibilities

    We’re seeking a polished and proactive entry-level Legal Administrative Assistant to support a team of partners, associates, and paralegals within a busy Litigation practice group. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience as a legal intern or other exposure to the legal field is highly preferred.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare, revise, and maintain legal documents, correspondence, and spreadsheets.

    • Screen and direct telephone calls with professionalism; serve as liaison between attorneys, clients, and staff.

    • Open, date-stamp, and distribute incoming mail; track deadlines and maintain accurate calendars.

    • Retrieve and organize case files and related documents.

    • Enter attorney time into the firm’s system and assist with billing-related tasks.

    • Manage administrative processes such as conflict checks, file openings, and follow-up reports.

    • Coordinate travel arrangements, schedule meetings, and reserve conference rooms as needed.

    • Prepare expense reports and complete various administrative forms.

    • Assemble and deliver finalized documents accurately and on time via mail, courier, or electronic delivery.

    • Assist with meetings, client visits, and internal events.

    • Conduct factual research online as requested.

    • Maintain filing systems, contact lists, and matter records.

    • Collaborate with colleagues and provide backup support as needed to promote teamwork.

    Qualifications

    • College degree preferred.

    • Previous legal experience, ideally in a law firm setting.

    • Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career in the legal field.

    • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities; able to prioritize effectively.

    • Professional, dependable, and composed under pressure.

    • Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.

    • Strong command of MS Office; experience with iManage or similar document management systems a plus.

    $90,000-$110,000 per year
