Legal Assistant – Estate Planning & Elder Law
Be the Steady Helping Hand and Welcoming Face of Our Boutique Law Firm
Monteforte Law, P.C. is looking for a full-time, in-office Legal Assistant who loves being organized, detail-driven, and client-focused. In this role, you’ll help our attorneys protect families, preserve wealth, and bring our estate plans to life — all while providing a warm welcome at our front desk.
We’re not your average law firm — we’re a boutique practice serving high-income individuals and families who want strategic, custom planning — not cookie-cutter documents. We take pride in being our clients’ trusted advisors for life.
What You’ll Do
Your primary focus will be legal work, not phones — but you’ll also pitch in to keep our client experience seamless. You’ll:
Draft estate planning and probate documents with precision and care.
Prepare MassHealth (Medicaid) applications and related paperwork.
Print, organize, and assemble complete estate plan binders and other legal packages.
Write clear, professional cover letters and client communications.
Answer basic client questions about their case status by phone or email.
Manage and update client files and legal data.
Sit at the front desk to greet clients with warmth and professionalism.
Help with light office/reception tasks like setting up conference rooms, making coffee, and keeping the front area welcoming.
Occasionally provide backup phone coverage when needed — everyone helps ensure calls are answered.
Why This Role Matters
In estate planning and elder law, trust is everything. You’ll help ensure every document is accurate, every question is answered, and every client feels cared for — from the moment they walk through the door to the moment they leave with a completed plan in hand.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
Real growth: We’ve promoted many Legal Assistants to Paralegals — if you’re hungry to grow, we’ll invest in your training.
No billable hours: You’ll focus on doing excellent work, not tracking every minute.
A tight-knit, drama-free team: We live by a “no jerks” rule. We help each other out.
Clients who appreciate you: You’re not a nameless cog — you’re the reason they feel safe and supported.
A boutique vibe: Our office is welcoming, warm, and client-centered. We celebrate wins, birthdays, and milestones — sometimes with tacos or cake!
Who You Are
Professional, punctual, and reliable — you take deadlines seriously.
Detail-obsessed and organized — errors don’t slip by you.
Friendly and comfortable talking with clients — both in person and on the phone.
Flexible enough to jump in and help cover phones when needed — but you know your main job is to keep the legal work moving forward.
Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and empathy.
Excited to learn — you don’t need to be an estate planning expert yet.
Happy working in-office at our front desk — this role is not remote.
