An exciting opportunity is available in our Ontario, California office for an experienced legal assistant/paralegal with comprehensive estate planning knowledge and top-notch technical, communication and administrative skills. This position requires excellent technical, administrative, communication and organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well independently and with others in a team oriented office environment. Only candidates with a minimum of 3 years of recent law firm experience will be considered.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with their daily activities
Conduct research
Assist with the drafting and reviewing of estate planning documents
Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Record and store client information
Qualifications:
Must be an experienced Legal Secretary/Paralegal well versed in estate planning with 3+ years of experience
Must have a stable background, preferably with small to mid-size law firms
Familiarity with document management
Familiarity with legal research
Accounting knowledge is a plus
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possess strong attention to detail and deadlines and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and document management systems strongly preferred.
