Legal Assistant, Idaho Falls (Open Until Filled)

Parsons Behle & Latimer, a regional law firm, has an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant in our Idaho Falls, Idaho office. Position requires 4+ years of legal assistant experience in a litigation and/or transactional practice in a professional office setting or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; careful attention to detail; and excellent organizational and communication skills. Law firm experience is preferred.

Responsibilities include supporting attorneys and paralegals with administrative tasks, answering phones, scheduling meetings, and providing backup legal assistance when needed.

This is an in-office position, and the hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Hourly rate is negotiable commensurate with experience. Job Requirements:

• 4+ years legal assistant experience in a professional office environment, law firm preferred
• Demonstrates strong foresight and initiative by anticipating needs and proactively identifying next steps
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and case management software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable, independent worker with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to manage case deadlines for attorneys and paralegals assigned to the matter
• Positive, professional attitude
• People-oriented and self-motivated
• Able to work successfully in a team environment
