An Atlanta-based IP firm is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys and paralegals in their patent prosecution practice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, precision, and keeping a busy legal team running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, revise, and finalize patent prosecution documents, correspondence, and filings
Assist with USPTO filings, including IDS preparation and application submissions
Maintain attorney dockets and monitor deadlines to ensure timely filings
Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements
Handle client communications and maintain accurate client and matter records
Process billing, expense reports, and engagement documentation
Provide general administrative support to attorneys and the broader IP team
Qualifications:
3+ years of legal administrative experience, preferably within intellectual property or patent prosecution
Strong familiarity with USPTO procedures and filing requirements
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines without breaking a sweat
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with IP docketing systems is a plus
