TonaLaw is seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to support our Personal Injury team in managing cases from intake through litigation. Benefits include: • Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote after 90 days) • 401(k) with 3% firm contribution • Health insurance • Paid time off (including firm-wide holiday closure Dec 24–Jan 1) Responsibilities: • Serve as a main point of contact for clients, insurance carriers, and defense attorneys. • Answer and return client calls promptly, providing updates, addressing concerns, and maintaining a high standard of client care. • Assist attorneys and paralegals with case preparation, file updates, and documentation. • Handle client intake, phone inquiries, and process incoming/outgoing mail. • Assist with claims from intake through resolution, including post-settlement documents. • Draft routine correspondence, authorizations, and follow-up letters to clients, providers, and carriers. • Coordinate lien requests, updates, and related follow-ups. • Provide support to ensure deadlines are met across the team. Qualifications: • Minimum 1 year of plaintiff personal injury law firm experience. • Associate’s degree preferred but not required. • Excellent communication and client service skills. • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes. • Team-oriented, collaborative, and proactive problem solver. • Bilingual (Spanish) and SmartAdvocate experience are a plus. • Proactive problem-solver with sound judgment and initiative. • Flexible, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-paced environment. • Collaborative team player who supports colleagues across the pod. Compensation: $55,000+
