At Terry & Roberts, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional service to clients. We are looking for an experienced and passionate legal assistant to help us maintain this high standard. Our offices are located in Angleton and Pearland. This position will build collaborative working relationships with our attorneys and earn the trust of our clients. The ideal candidate is organized, diligent, and can work both independently and as part of a team. You will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of an attorney. The salary range is flexible with the right experience and/or qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Handle communication with clients, staff, etc.
• Draft legal documents and correspondence
• Electronic-filing
• Administratively support and attend trials
• Maintain contact lists
• Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a legal assistant
• Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court systems
• Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
• Computer literacy
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure

Preferred Skills and qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced legal environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Word-processing ability of 50-80 words per minute with high degree of accuracy
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills

We are a boutique law firm in Brazoria County, specializing in family law. Our firm is highly recognized for helping individuals and families with matters including divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, premarital agreements, grandparent rights, paternity, protective orders, and CPS matters. As we continue to grow as a firm, we also strive to maintain and strengthen our reputation of client communication, satisfaction and success. We currently have six full-time attorneys along with 12 full-time support staff. Our offices are located in Angleton and Pearland. The attorney is anticipated to work in either office, but there is flexibility depending on the attorney's location.
