The working hours are 9 AM - 6 PM, with a one-hour paid lunch. Legal work is deadline-driven, and court schedules, trial preparation, urgent filings, or other time-sensitive matters may occasionally require work beyond normal business hours. Responsibilities: The Legal Assistant will be responsible for: Client correspondence and management; Maintaining the attorney's schedule; Completing dictations for motion drafting, brief drafting, and other documentary needs; Assistance with exhibits for trial preparation; File and case management; Court correspondence; Meeting court-imposed and interoffice deadlines; Clearly and professionally answering phones; Communicating client needs to attorney; Office coordination, such as ordering supplies and managing incoming mail; Add "thorough" next to your name on your resume to start the interview process; Other administrative tasks as deemed necessary; Confirm court dates, client compliance, and other administrative tasks without needing reminders. Qualifications: Prior law firm or legal admin experience strongly preferred; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and case management software (or ability to learn quickly); Professional appearance and demeanor; Strong sense of urgency and reliability; Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times; Typing speed of 47 WPM+ given preference. Compensation: $53,000 - $62,000
