If you live for checklists, catch every typo, and never miss a deadline, you might be our next Trademark Paralegal. We’re a boutique law firm specializing in intellectual property and entertainment law, and we need a detail-obsessed, hyper-organized professional to keep our trademark practice running flawlessly. In this role, you’ll manage critical deadlines, maintain immaculate records, and communicate with precision — whether with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), clients, or attorneys. Prior paralegal experience isn’t required, but proven administrative excellence, a passion for accuracy, and a long-term commitment are essential. You might be the right fit if you: • Live by your calendar, checklist, and color-coded filing system. • Get genuine satisfaction from keeping complex projects on track. • Notice typos, inconsistencies, and missing details instantly. • Keep calm under deadlines and can juggle multiple tasks without losing focus. • Proactively spot potential issues before they become problems. • Enjoy working independently but value clear communication and collaboration. • Feel a sense of accomplishment when everything is organized and accounted for. Responsibilities: • Track and manage all trademark deadlines — applications, Office Actions, Statements of Use/Extensions, renewals, oppositions — ensuring nothing is missed. • Docket and maintain meticulous records in digital systems. • Prepare and file documents with the USPTO. • Manage communications with the USPTO, firm attorneys, and clients, ensuring prompt and accurate follow-up. • Assist in preparing responses to Office Actions and other prosecution documents under attorney supervision. • Conduct preliminary trademark searches and support clearance projects with thorough, well-documented results. • Liaise with vendors and service providers (e.g., registered agents, trademark watch services). Qualifications: • Required: Minimum 2 years of office or administrative experience with a track record of managing large volumes of deadlines and details. • Preferred: Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, especially in IP or trademark law. • Extraordinary organizational skills and uncompromising attention to detail — you love lists, systems, and structure. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused tone. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Google Workspace, file/document management systems, and online tools, including CRM and docketing software. • Ability to prioritize effectively, work independently, and never miss a deadline. • Interest in trademark law, intellectual property, and/or the entertainment industry is a plus. Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 yearly
