    Wiete Law Office LLC has an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant. This crucial role supports our growing boutique law firm committed to providing clients with strategic legal guidance to help them navigate court and move forward. The Legal Assistant plays a vital role supporting attorneys and paralegals in family law matters such as divorce, custody, and support. The Legal Assistant must communicate with potential clients and existing clients with compassion and professionalism, because the Legal Assistant is often the first point of contact. Other key responsibilities include file organization, calendar coordination, and general administrative support. Responsibilities: Client Intake • Create a positive first impression with prospective clients • Assess whether the firm can assist with their legal needs (correct jurisdiction and practice area) • Schedule consultations and send intake forms via Clio Grow • Follow up with prospective clients by phone and email • Complete client intake in Clio Manage and set up client files upon hire Office Management • Greet clients/potential clients warmly upon arrival • Maintain refreshments and meeting room readiness • Manage calendars for attorneys and events • Coordinate with building management, tech services, and vendors to resolve office-related issues promptly • Order and replenish office supplies Administrative Support • Answer and screen calls, route messages • Prepare meeting spaces for appointments • Relay non-substantive updates to clients as directed • Provide excellent, confidential, and professional client service • Schedule appointments with clients upon request from attorneys and paralegals • Document scanning, printing, copying, and organization • Open, scan, save, and route incoming mail • Prepare, scan, and send outgoing mail Qualifications: • Must be able to type at least 50 WPM • Some knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs • Associate’s degree, or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is necessary • Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products • Shares our core values: honesty, compassion, and responsiveness • Professional and welcoming in client interactions • Maintains strict confidentiality • Holds oneself accountable for honesty with self, colleagues, and clients • Shows compassion toward clients facing difficult circumstances • Communicates consistently and promptly with clients • Reliable and punctual Compensation: $45,000 - $50,000 yearly
