    Our law firm is seeking an organized self-starter to join our team as a Legal Case Manager and work alongside attorneys to achieve clients’ goals. Responsibilities: • Organize and maintain all case files, and information concerning engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with the law firm policies • Communicate case status with clients and outside counsel as requested • Assist attorneys with all aspects of case management, including docketing deadlines, billing, and providing reminders as necessary • Assess legal documents to assure compliance to all legal requirements • Coordinate between attorneys, staff, and outside vendors to manage the law firm’s case load, present case summaries/updates, and ensure that deadlines are met • Gathering information from clients • Working with an attorney to draft estate planning and probate documents • Reviewing and delegating client changes • Updating drafted documents • Providing clients with documents for review for accuracy, missing information, and clarification • Preparing clients and witnesses for probate hearings • E-Filing documents with the courts • In-office meetings with clients • Notarizing documents • Communicating with court departments and county offices • Maintaining original documents and transmitting them to the courts • Maintaining a cadence of case types and meeting deadlines • Providing clients with updates along with the entire case life • Communicating with third parties to facilitate case wrap-up • Applying for EIN numbers from IRS.gov • Participating in signing ceremonies for estate planning documents Qualifications: • Exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral are needed • Comfortable with computer programs, such as spreadsheet presentation, word processing, and case management software • Professional case management process experience is needed - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal, at a non-profit, law firm, or human services agency • Be a self-starter and able to effectively manage multiple matters at once • Legal research and legal document drafting experience is critical Our Preferred Candidate: • Has a Great personality and a sense of humor • Wants a long-term position • Has great phone etiquette and enjoys communicating with clients on the phone • Experience in a law firm, especially in the practice areas of estate planning and probate, is a huge plus! • Shows compassion when dealing with clients and has a talent for winning their confidence and respect • Is willing to work hard to see that clients receive top-notch service and results • We are looking for someone who has character, intelligence, and integrity, and someone who contributes positively to the atmosphere within the office • No one who takes themselves too seriously thinks that scanning a document is beneath them, and will wash their own coffee cup • Someone who believes in civil rights and equality for all • Must live in the Dallas area Compensation: $55,000 - $62,000 yearly
