Responsibilities: • Manage and track litigation and municipal enforcement cases, including pleadings, discovery, hearings, and court deadlines. • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, experts, and municipal staff to gather case materials and maintain organized case files. • Draft and proofread correspondence, declarations, and other legal documents under attorney supervision. • Monitor court filings, hearing dates, and case management orders in state and federal courts. • Maintain Clio case management records, task lists, and client communications; upload and index documents to SharePoint. • Support municipal nuisance abatement and code enforcement matters by coordinating communications with inspectors, city departments, and outside counsel. • Prepare summaries, reports, and timelines for active cases. • Assist with billing entries, task tracking, and cost-recovery documentation. • Contribute to process improvement and automation using Microsoft Power Automate and AI-driven tools. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree preferred; paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required. • Minimum 3 years of legal experience , preferably in litigation, municipal, or regulatory practice. • Proficiency in Clio, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Power Automate (or a willingness to learn). • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision. • Professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to teamwork. Preferred Skills • Experience working with government agencies or public entities. • Familiarity with California court rules, filings, and local procedures. • Bilingual proficiency (Mandarin, Cantonese, or Spanish) is a plus. • Familiarity with AI-assisted legal research or automation tools. • Experience in managing and tracking litigation and municipal enforcement cases, ensuring all deadlines are met. • Ability to coordinate effectively with attorneys, clients, and municipal staff to gather and organize case materials. • Proven track record of drafting and proofreading legal documents with precision and attention to detail. • Proficiency in using Clio, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365, or a willingness to learn these tools quickly. • Strong organizational skills to maintain case management records and client communications efficiently. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision. • Familiarity with California court rules and procedures, enhancing your ability to navigate local legal landscapes. Compensation: $30 - $40 hourly
